Water Aerobics, Water volleyball and Impressionist

This is a laid back life here in Central Florida...our day began with a pancake breakfast made with pancakes and our Rose black cherry balsamic vinegar...very good! And bacon. (To clarify, Paul wants to say he only had the bacon and pancakes without balsamic vinegar.)

Then I headed to the pool for water aerobics and Paul headed to the courts for Pickleball. I lingered at the pool to soak in some rays...oooh it felt amazing! I met two of the sweetest ladies... Donna and Cheryl...we chatted for quite awhile while getting some sun. They are both from Michigan!

Then...back to the camper for some lunch and then back to the smaller pool for... water volleyball 🏐!  We met up with some of the people from last year...so good to get reacquainted!!

We both had a lot of sun today and were surprised at how quickly things heated up during the day in the camper once we got back so the AC was turned up full blast and we rested til dinner and then headed out to see an impressionist.   This is a guy who impersonates Neil Diamond, Willie Nelson, Frank Sinatra, Kermit the Frog and Elvis as well as many country artists I am unfamiliar with, but did a lot of spoof songs Weird Al Yankovichs style...including a song all about getting a colonoscopy...so funny!

Icy Trails

After taking an early morning shower, we went out to breakfast (could not find a local diner OR coffee shop...so good ol Mickey D's). Back at the campsite, we loaded up our camper and began heading out. However, the campground was so icy, our truck and camper began to slip and slide and couldn't make it up the slight incline to get onto the highway! We had to get out of the truck to be sure we weren't going to slide into the ditch or hit something. There were some nail biting moments as we tried to back out to find another way out of the slippery icy campground.  Thankfully we slid into some snow that gave us some traction. Phew!  We finally made it and breathed a huge sigh of relief once we transitioned from the ice to dry paved and plowed roads. As we traveled through Missouri we saw this sign.... Traveling RVers - Day 1

 This morning we loaded up the truck and we (along with Shaggy) headed over to the camper to hook up to the 5th wheel.  We were a bit apprehensive as our auto leveling system has been fickle this year, but despite frigid temperatures and a blinking orange light, we were able to raise up the "leveling legs". In no time we were pulling ahead, checking lights, chiseling out the frozen chocks from the earth, and hitting the road. We are blessed to have very little wind and wide open roads! We are taking a less traveled road to avoid Chicago and heading instead through Iowa and into Missouri.  Shaggy, as always, has been a good traveler. This will be his first long distance trip without his life partner, Daphne.  We arrived in Bowling Green, Missouri at a campground there called Cozy C RV-- I am afraid the temperatures here are colder than they are at home!! Rainy Day RV Show and Getting Spooned

 After a good night's sleep, we had a simple breakfast of coffee and yogurt and headed out to wash our truck.  It had gotten pretty dirty after many miles of driving down here (about 1800 miles!).  So it really needed it!  Paul was able to hose down our camper at the resort yesterday after we arrived, so it is looking presentable and the truck turned out pretty nice. Then we headed out to our destination-- the Tampa RV show which is supposed to be the biggest RV show in the USA.  We went last year and had a fabulous time.  There are so many entertainers and fun new gadgets and widgets, new ways of organizing things in campers, etc.  We LOVE to see the new RVs and models that are out as well...we saw the new Durango Golds and were so impressed!  Even more so than the Brinkley's which I fell in love with last year.  We also toured some vans (which go for around $250,000!!)  I can't believe how expensive those camper vans are!  We also...
