Solomon's Castle, Punta Gorda and Dancing the Night Away

Today we drove with friends up to Solomon's Castle. This is a quirky site
A guy named Howard Solomon built this castle in the 70s with material that was considered garbage at the time. He also filled the castle with his quirky creations...very interesting fellow. His daughter has realized her dream and opened a restaurant on the property that has home made original recipes that are quite delicious.
The restaurant has seating in the boat in the moat as well as a lighthouse...

They were still cleaning up from the hurricane damage while we were there.

Next we went to Punta Gorda at Fisherman's Village. We did some shopping and got Shaggy a new hat!

We saw the sun today! It felt so good to be in the sun!

There was some trace evidence here as well of the hurricane...
After shopping, we headed back to Reflections and went to the dance. WHISKEY 6 was playing...a band we had heard play last year.  We bought some raffle tickets and I won!!!! $$$$  Turned out to be a super fun evening. We met two new people; Laurie and Rob. We were reacquainted with Captain Ron and Rae as well Cindy and John.  We danced the night away!
