Discovering New Things
This morning we headed out early for Tai Chi and after class, we started talking with Pierre and Tara who are both from Canada. They were describing the disparity between the Canadian and U.S. dollar. Their Canadian dollar is worth so little here. They encouraged us to visit Canada 🇨🇦 next summer as it would be very affordable for us. They also told us of their health care system and how they are unable to get into see their primary doctors and are forced to go to the ER where they must wait for hours on end.
Our conversation went on for over an hour and I missed my water aerobics class. I did, however, finally make it to the pool and met up with my friend, Cindy, from New York and we chatted with Sheryl who I had met at the previous class. Sheryl was a Respiratory Therapist and lived in New Mexico for 25 years.
Paul played Pickleball after Tai Chi and then we met back at the camper for lunch before heading out to the vegetable market truck where they sold fresh produce from local farmers.
Today to Paul's delight, he discovered our camper's control system has an app, so he has been playing with that today. It can control everything from our lights to our leveling system to our slide outs and even displays all our tank levels!
This afternoon we toured two RV Resort parks in the area. One of the parks checks all our boxes and is half the price of our current park, so next year we may stay there and stay longer.
Tonight after a steak dinner (grilled out on our Blackstone and was delicious!) we visited our neighbor, Duwayne Baade. His ex wife, Judy Frees, we figured out is a cousin to my Aunt Joy! What a small world moment!
